ED civic. 6.8 volts at fuel pump. WTF?
« on: May 19, 2009, 11:57:41 PM »

As it says, car won't start. 6.8 volts b/t the black and yellow/black wire at the connector. Is it the main relay or a wiring problem or something else?

Thanks!

All fuses have been checked.

Just run an 8gauge wire to the pump fromt the wire through a fuse and then have a relay controlling it.
Hopefully your 6.8volts is enough to open a relay for the big ass wire.

Have you opened up your main relay?  If not you need to look at the solder joints on the board to see if there are any small rings(cracks).

btw a main relay can still be bad even if you hear it click...

6.8 volts with the pump unplugged? i.e. no current draw?  :?:

or 6.8 v with the pump plugged in and running?
