So this weekend I drove up to Edmonton to check out the Event.
When I first arrived on Saturday morning the place was packed, I guess last year it was Nationally televised or some shit, and everyone assumed it would be the same this year. However this was not the case. As such a bunch of trailers didn't even unpack they just turned around and left. That was kinda lame, but it was still a nice day to sit out in the sun enjoy some beers, and watch some racing.
Here are some of the random pics of stuff I saw.
*******NOTE I am a lousy picture taker, and even worse on video, I also frequently forget I have a camera with me and as such there are not many pics************
Random shot of cars:
Randome shot of cars2:
Here are some tow rigs, these probably fascinate me as much as the cars do.
Procharged Camaro:
'Nother Camaro:
A Viper that I got a kick out of the plate (His best of the day was 12.5x @ 127mph iirc, just no traction anywhere, on full street tires)
Some bikes for our bike fans:
Close up of the clear clutch cover, just because I had never seen one before:
ZX-14 with Nitrous (Ran 9.6's all day)
Finally my favorite car of the event bar none. 1969 Cudda, BB with twin 88mm precisions, built to run in 10.5 Outlaw but just testing and dialing in on big tires now. It was a pro charged car, that just made the switch to turbo's the video below is it's 3rd pass ever on this setup, running at ~6psi:
YES IT IS LICENSED AND INSURED FOR THE STREET!!!!! IN CASE YOU CAN'T READ THE PLATE IT IS "HRD COR"
Here is the car's 3rd pass ever, launching at 4psi ramping up to 6psi:
Burnout:
Run:
He ran again later (I didn't have my camera ready) and went 7.69@188mph. Once it is dialed in and running full boost, it should see 6.9x's and ~210mph.
