Is it a newer 360, made since August 2008? If so, you need a new connectivity kit.

If the xbox is older and has the older lite-on drive, you don't need a kit. It makes things easier though.

Jago - I haven't seen any differences in flashing Lite-on drives.  All the ones I've flashed, at least, required the connectivity kit.  All of them I've seen require jumping on the PCB.

I don't recall them having light ons that far back.

On a side note I was playing earlier and the power flickered, look at the 360 and it was rocking the red ring of death. I was about to be pissed as hell, but rebooted it and it was fine.

I have two dead 360's sitting in my house. I'm hoping to be getting my one fixed with E79 code this week. But when I get it back. Can I send it one of you that can flash it so I can play downloaded/backup games?
