Today me and my ricer friend were driving around. He says there's a monthly hot rod show in the area tonight, so we hit it up. Despite our friendship, I somehow allowed my honesty to suggest parking away from my car. haha.

Everyone was really nice. It's not uncommon for people to go to a hot rod show and take actual hot rods for granted, because they expect to see them. What they don't expect to see is a rhd civic, so lots of people were curious. To reel them in, I had CCR and Johnny Cash on the system, and they liked it. One lady said she expected to hear garbage rap out of a car like this, and I told her of my dislike for your average ricer, and told her I was breaking the mold.

Then you have the other import that was there, strategically not parked next to me. haha. My friend Jake is the best guy you could ever have on your side, but for some reason he does just about everything you'd expect an import idiot to do. We joke about it.

I can appreciate the work that goes into them, but I can't think of an old car I could get into and build for 5 years without losing interest. I guess that was what was cool in their time, and when we're 50 (Hi JD!

) we'll still be playing with 90's civics, and the younger kids will think we're old.

There's a big difference between a freeway with no traffic lights and a inner-city stretch of 2-4 lane highway with traffic lights and assholes turning in and out of parking lots at random. If I were a cop, I'd be pissed too.

shaaww.. We just missed the last "import day" last weekend, but next month we're skipping import day in favor of "test and tune" in order to invite our American car friends. You'll hear of it.

Also, today was the local "MNHondas.com" meet. Normally I wouldn't even think of going to this kind of garbage, but it was 10 mins. from my house, and there was already 60 cars who said they'd be there. Waiting for pictures to be posted by all the local wannabee photogs, and then I'll update.
