There is enough room to push it without having to rotate the gun, but the release is stiff though. The shroud doesn't seem to really be an issue. Kind of nice though. One less thing to snag.

how cute. I am not a fan of the 40cal, go with 45 if you want more punch, or 9mm if you wanna hold more ammo, 40's have a really snappy recoil that makes it hard to do quick follow up shots

I tried the XD hoping Id like it. I didnt like the trigger one bit. Nice guns tho fo sho... On the way to the range now.

ehh, its give and take. 40 has great knockdown power, while the 9mm and 45 tend to completely penetrate and just punch holes(unless of course its a hollow). i love the way my 40 shoots vs my 9mm or 45

how often are you going to really need a pistol though? I mean, even in self defense, you're practically guilty until proven innocent in the court of law when a gun is involved. If it's just for shooting pleasure i'd much rather practice marksmanship with a rifle. just my .02

Shot a XD 45 yesterday (To the tune of around 100 rounds through it) at the range and REALLY liked it.... Alot more than the 40 I shot not too longago... IDK I cant see there being that big of difference. I like the 45 ALOT though.

size of the wound.. the trauma the bullet will cause.. what happends after you hit bone... etc etc
