there is no way that truck weighs 5000lbs either

and 5000lbs + 500hp/500tq would utterly destroy a stock dsm.

those trucks had a GVW of 4700lbs and considering the alum motor and trans and all the rust its prob less  8)

The GENIII Viper motor fully dressed is ~625lbs. I am not sure what the trans weighs, but probably less the the original.

I was being sarcastic with my dsm statement.  I was at no point implying that dsms are remotely fast, I was implying that dropping a 500hp engine into a 5000lb vehicle is a waste of time.
