And he delivered. Proves that there still are honest people in this world.

Am I saying do this for everyone on CL? No. I did a little research on the guy, found out he had a photography business, he always answered his phone, and I had full confidence in the transaction.

Dont get tied up in the bullshit that everyone on CL is a scammer.

Everything was very well packaged, the camera was insured, he shipped it litterly about an hour after he got the MO in the mail.

I love my 199.00 pentax. Anything more and I wouldn't know how to use it. It takes good enough pics for me.

Robb, I also got a grip in the deal. Typically these go for the 2200- range, no grip, used. I think I got a pretty kick ass deal.

Good enough for me means a $500 day for about 4 hours of work. The post processing typically is my beer time, so I dont count that time.

$199 wouldnt cover anything I have for my camera, except the bag and the cleaning kit.

Go to fredmiranda and post up in the classifieds. and make sure your ready to buy when you make the thread. Also, you gotta pay to use the classifieds. Pretty gay but its the way it is, if you wanna use it. Or you could just find someone else who has a "wtb d700" thread and shit on theirs

You can get a new d700 from bh photo for about 2400- range I think.

If you arent interested in going full frame, the D90 in my opinion is still one of the best deals out there.

I do. I can retake the d700 if you want to see those buttons.

If you think the d90 does some sweet boke, you should see the boke the d700 will do with a 1.4 lens. :yes:

A canon ae1 program, its a film camera, its fully featured, fully programmable, manual focus. If she actually wants to learn to do artstic type photography, a digital point and shoot might not be the best.

Yeah, it could be a bit much for a 13 year old. I'm sure she could handle it if she really wanted to. But a point and shoot is brainless. Maybe a point and shoot, that will let you manually set aperture and shutter speed (If you choose to), if she sticks with it and wants to learn that stuff in the future.
