if i could get a different trigger mech i would totally get those instead of wolf

the yugo mil stuff is much more powerful

i bought some of this local and shot it through my VZ and it was great. def more powerful then wolf stuff. only downside is its corrosive so you have to actually clean the gun/barrel everytime you shoot it.

yes its corrosive. probably 95% of surplus ammo is corrosive.

All I have is a couple Rock Island 1911 http://www.armscor.net/ 45s. Never had a jam, failure to feed blah blah and I got 3k of ammo to go thru yet. They make a nickel 1911 .45 and it will be my next gun. I paid $399 for my GI and $454 for my Tactical.

Have fun with that yugo, milled recievers are expensive and threaded barrels are a bitch to re-install. You should bend a flat, grind down the cut reciever stubs and stick the stubs inside the flat and weld them there, best option IMO

I'm undecided as to how I'm going to finish the receiver. I have no way of accurately removing material from the trunions. I could do it like that guy in the write up; feeler gauge/drill press/grinder. According to rumor, theres a guy who sells repair blanks so that may be an easier option. Either way, I really don't want to remove the barrel.

As for the barrel. I got really lucky, the riffling looks good, muzzle eats a bullet 2/3 of the way.

How are you identifying/labeling/personalizing yours? Thats something I'm still unclear on.
