Where the fuck do I start?
Del Sol:Heading home on an unfamiliar street in the middle of the night with fogged up windows. I was leaning my head out the window to see, but didn't see the stop sign on the passenger side until too late. Slid through it, through a barbed-wire fence, off a small embankment, onto a tree.
Called a tow truck and fucker didn't show up. Called back and they told me to wait an hour, still didn't show up after a couple hours, gave up and Doug hooked me up with some cinder blocks, jacks, and help.
Then just had to get a running start to try and slide up the small hill on wet grass with shitty tires.
Later on, someone pulled in front of me from a stop in the center lane, and I slid into the back of their old Volvo. Didn't hurt their car but fucked mine up. Got a sorta-fit bumper, and paid a messican $100 to pull the front end straight. Was looking like new again until a few weeks later:
There's a road that forks around a curve, and the other portion going straight, the curve being the "right of way." Someone was stopped at the straight road that merges on, facing me, and it's on a sort of angle pointing up, with his high beams on. Couldn't see shit, slowed down, didn't curve enough, ended up in slippery grass, avoided the utility pole but hit the guide-wire. Transformer on the pole blew up into a lightning-bright white, power flickered out for the surrounding homes for a few seconds, fucker in the truck with the high beams slowed down...then drove off.
Got a ride from a friend to work, soon after my Del Sol incident. We worked security 3rd shift at the Toyota plant, so it was late. It was lightly raining and he was depending on Rain-X since his windshield wipers didn't work. I'm typing on my phone, hear "OH SHIT," look up and we're heading straight for a metal utility pole. He hits the breaks and tries to turn but it was too late and we slid, hit a ditch, then hit the pole. Ended up on the driver side of the car. Notice the tire is completely off, steering wheel bent as fuck, we were going a decent speed. Airbag numbed my face, scraped off about half of it, and busted my nose, but came out decently compared to the car.
This was the beginning of a shitty few days in my life and the final chapter of this story:
I was going down a highway on my way home from cashing my check. Was probably going about 60-65mph in the right lane, and two dump-trucks pulled into the left lane from a side street. I passed the trailing one, and when I got about even with the dump truck in the front, it decided to merge into my lane, maybe going 10-15mph. I hit my brakes and tried to avoid it by going around the left of it, car started sliding sideways, last thing I remember was pointing at the side of the dump-truck. Woke up hours later in the hospital numbed the fuck up with a doctor stitching my face up. Steering wheel, dashboard, seat was all warped, engine broke off the mounts and pushed into the firewall, car was crinkled like an aluminum can. I came out pretty damn well considering I had no seat belt with 34 stitches vertically on my mouth, and the rest from my eyebrow up into my hair. I had a cut on my fucking eyelid but eye was fine, thank god.
Tried to sue the dump truck driver but a "witness" (there was nobody even close) claimed I "tried to pass the dump-truck and lost control." They sent me a letter after months claiming that I "admitted to using alcohol and marijuana" that day which I know was bullshit because my mother was there the entire time and said I didn't, and I had just got off work so didn't have time to imbibe.
Went back to my apartment the next day and found out it had been broken into and a bunch of shit stolen. Had to move a couple days later because the lease was ending. Civic was in the process of a headgasket change and Integra needed a timing belt replaced. Keys for the cars were gone, and titles were in the car, told the complex that I could not get them moved until the next week because of all the bullshit and nobody wanting to tow a car unless I had the keys or proof of ownership. When I went to get them, they were gone.
After paying impound to get them back, here's the condition I got them:
Civic: passenger window missing, inside soaked from not having a window, front wheels missing, headlight, bumper, and bumper support ripped off, dents in the hood, fucked up wheel, scratched up ear bumper, other new dents, important parts/tool missing from the headgasket change that I was working on.
Integra: rear hatch busted out, inside soaked, huge dent on the front bumper/fender, various new scratches and dents.
Called them to bitch and see what was up, they said that's how they picked them up. I saw the fucking Civic the day before they said they impounded it and it had both fucking wheels. If you look at the picture of the Integra's busted hatch, you can see the yellow fucking sticker impound put on the car with shattered glass stuck to it.
The end.
