Hf manifold adapters? Still a market for them?
« on: September 29, 2009, 07:22:01 PM »

Was thinking about running some for some of the more bastard turbos of the past that people seem to have forgotten about since the cdm turbo market has become the way to go for the budget minded.

Did you ever end up making any 14b adapters?

Been kicking around the idea of a 14b setup on the new DD.

I don't know how the fuck you came up with $41.50 as costing too much from what I asked.

I figured if Chris had made some up, I would buy one from him.

Ill most likely make some around xmas time since things always get slow then.

Regarding bmc then have been according to the web forums horrible with filling orders and also the guys kid who was building manifolds was ripping off people for thousands of dollars

Price range will be around the same as bmc

Plan on a 14b and ihi probe units.

Not that I'm happy with Dan arbitrarily disliking someone who takes a single dump worth more than Dan's whole life, but if you're going to air dirty laundry aren't you the classifieds moderator who's been hotrexing Dan for a while now?  Not cool.

I've ordered from bmc twice.  The first I bought a hf to t3 adapter and two d exhaust manifold flanges.  The second time I bought a t3 tubine flange and a merge collector.  I had a good experience as a customer both times.

I've heard the bad stories about the manifolds and the son.  I don't plan on ordering one of those.  I wouldn't suggest for someone else to order one either.

I don't have anything against ChrisM.  I'm actually planning on buying a few things from him in the future.

So I guess I'm saying you can wait for santa to bring your 14b adapter or you can get it now from the great pumpkin...

Either way I don't see how I fail.

I wouldnt buy shit from the kid (BMC RACE's)...

But Sam(His dad-BMCrace.com) is stand up, has GREAT quality shit and Ive NEVER had any issues at all with BMC race.... which is NOT his kids failed "fab" company, Ita   a seperate entity.

He even ran the nig nog flange for the old top mount one off in the middle of a batch of shit he had going on for me.

Logic.  People get defensive here for a reason, usually loyalty.  He was stating why he mentioned BMC now despite Chris saying he'd make adapters in the future.

If I can make a couple bucks Im cool with it. Just throwing out the idea since I have access to equipment and figured why not continue making more products

Oh and I would do batches of atleast 5 of each. Im one of the few people still trying to make unique parts for the diy and will not let China take that away from me.
