Spun Bearing LS?
« on: October 06, 2009, 09:29:27 PM »

How much is to much to charge for a Spun Bearing LS, its not spun baddly but obviously its spun so it would need to be fixxed. the motor has about 140k on it, its a 1995....im thinking 75 or is that to cheap or to much?

Is it a rod or a crank bearing? That's cheap for a crank bearing, pretty much on par for a rod I would say.

im almost sure its a rod, because as soon as it spun i killed the car and pulled over right away, but if i had wanted to i could kept driving with it and the car turned on right away etc u know, but i have not taken it apart besides removing the oil pan

NO no no no haha, heres the fast story, i turboed next day blew my motor. Then i bought a LS for 350 from some PIECE OF NIGGER SHIT. Cuz the motor turned out to have a spun bearing. A few days later i get a call from some random guy, who is a reputable source around my area and he had a fully rebuilt LS he would sell me for 250. I bought it up and i finished breaking it in, and i will be boosting it hopefully in the next few weekends again and getting a tune.

BUt i have 2 spun bearing LS's now that im trying to sell so i am jw what good prices to sell them for and im thinking 75 a piece.

damn it, i need a complete b18b intake

spun bearing ls, no intake, no dizzy with sensors?  75-100 sounds reasonable.  think about how much you could get if you parted it out then subtract a little for labor and thats how much it is worth if you sell it whole
