Won't ever happen. NYC is the most expensive place to have a trade show, in front of Chicago, Boston, and San Fran. Las Vegas is built for an even like this. Their only other option would to be to do it in Orlando, and that is where PRI is.

I went last year... I doubt I'll be going back... Too much stereo/tv/bling bs...

I was expecting to be blown away. There were very few cars that actually made me go wow. It truly made me realize how many people in this industry are under the gun rushing to get things together.

I had the most fun going to the in-n-out meet. It was really strange being around a bunch of people that wanted to be cool, but no one would lift their hood. People were defiantly afraid of theft. Brian, the guy I went with, was saying that there were people there that had real wheels trying to make them look like rotas. I couldn't tell the difference...

I doubt I'll go to Pri cause the company I work for does 80% of it's business for the year in late November/early December. I'm sure it's a better show for people like us though...

It is a better show. I didn't see any of the stereo crap, but I did see multiple booths oriented towards data aquisition for F1/NASCAR/IRL/etc. Fucking $2K/corner linear positioning sensors, hermetically sealed combustion chamber probes, G meters, esoteric EM shielding apparatus, telemetry mojo, ad nauseam.

The guy I roomed with, local machinist, spent the whole show wandering up and down the three rows in the machinery isle. He kept finding stuff to look at and people to talk to and didn't care to wander. I think he was willing to sleep with the Serdi rep for a night alone with one of the machines.
