A few month ago the drivers association was talking about pulling out.

But FIA set things straight since.

Next year 2-4 more new teams, no KERS, race on one tank of fuel, and more tracks to race at.

Nascar on an oval race is still kickass.  Consistency is key when it comes to Nascar... you can be good for 200 laps then fuck up a couple turns on 1 lap and you won't make it up.  There are many intricacies to Nascar people write off because the tracks are simple ovals a lot of the time.  Plus Nascar pit teams blow F1 pit teams out of the water.  Again, everything in Nascar is about consistency and speed.  There's no room for error on an oval.

How do NECKCAR pit crews blow away F1.

When an avg. F1 pitstop is 8sec. w/ fueling and 4-5 sec. w/ just tire changes.

Also when watching this seasons fuck-ups in F1 with fuel rigs getting stuck on the cars.
And the fuel rig gets dragged down the pits.
Then watch some fuel spray onto another car that then ignites fuel for a sec.
And then the drive that had fuel sprayed on him and burn off of him then continues to exit the pits and races.

Next year one tank per race in F1 should be really interesting.

I agree with you on the first part. You can go 200 laps an a small mistake would be crucial. But How want s to sit through 200 laps of the same shit, in a shitty car, listening to rednecks chatter on the comm.

As for the pit crews, I would have to strongly disagree with you there. Everything (technical) in F1 outperforms NAASCAR. F1 cars make nearly 2X the HP with 1/2 the displacement.

nascar goes just as fast as f1 in cars that weigh 3 times as much on tires that are less than half as wide. not saying either is better than the other, just saying it does require the same if not more finesse to drive a stock nascar.

Rules and regulations define such things.

Yeah and high reving v-8's in F1 is so intoxicating to listen to when you have a good sound system turned up.

If NECKCAR could just get out of the stoneage with thier engines and fuel systems they would probably get more people to watch and like it.
When I watch NECKCAR and see fans all I see is a bounch of brand chasing sheep.

The grid girls in F1 are soooooo much hotter. ;D

Honda => Brawn GP
Toyota yes is leaving.  :'(
BMW  => being bought by a Swiss firm
Renault not sure yet they are still thinking about it.

Remember that Cosworth is coming back building motors.
Last time I checked over half of the team will be using Cosworth motors.
Should be interesting because if Cosworth messes up a lot of teams will be pissed. Stay tuned to future races. ;D

Also a USF1 team will be racing next year.

According to: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/f1-2010-season/2010-f1-drivers-and-teams/
F1 will still have Red Bull/ Toro Roso, Ferrari, McLaren, Force India, Brawn GP, Williams and four new teams.
Some of the new teams are just using excisting race teams that quit under older names.

I'm looking forward to Lotus and Cosworth coming back for the 2010 season should be interesting.

Nascar does take a bad rap. It is pretty entertaining to watch and the skill level is still up there. In F1 if you touch half the car blows away and you're done. In Nascar they bump and grind and keep going. As for the pit crews they have way more to do. 5 lug vs spindle mount, jack men, track bar adjustments, sheet metal work, and air damn work. I do miss the days where it was a bit more dangerous going over 200mph at the super speedways before restrictor plates. Also the "car of tomorrow" is retarded.

If you havn't already, you need to watch the top gear episode where Hammond does three laps around Silverstone in the Renault F1 car. It gave me a whole new respect for R1 drivers  :noel:.

Nascar and their stone age technology can eat shit.

great episode.

They live in a world where 0.001s=1s. I wonder how they can drive at 60mph on the highway? It must be sssssloooooowwww for them.

They practice a lot and use simulators when they are not on the track.
