 I the only one convinced that that WG setup is fucking garbage, that manifold is going to crack even though its "braced to the teeth"  (none of which I can see in any pics), the flex pipe where it is is not helping stress at all on the manifold like he claims and that pump gas with meth is not "pump gas"

I'm with you on the manifold being  :?:. i don't understand why he wouldn't brace those joints where the wastegates tee off the collector. the wastegate will most certainly fall off with the vibration from a d series being pushed that hard.

and also i almost posted on his retarded flex location and how it serves no purpose there if the down pipe is braced/mounted in the back like it appears it is. also i have never seen a stepped header on a turbo car unless it was a log manifold. I have always heard you want to keep as much velocity or pressure as you can before the turbine. As in run the smallest diameter you can for the engine.

there is so much wrong with that build it just doesn't look like an "engineer" is building it. there doesn't seem to be real thought put into the components of the build.

He's pretty much trying to reinvent the wheel. He calls it "innovation".

Those that have ran the Bisimoto Turbo cam's with crappy results, did you degree in the cams as listed?

There is no listing for the cam he sent us, but we tried anyways, it was still shit.

"degreeing" the cam on a sohc does close to nothing anyways. You compromise either way you go.

But I only played with a max of +/-2* due to the owner not knowing his clearances and me not wanting to take a chance.

Although there was a considerable gain in advancing my ex-now-Foowee's abberration of a motor a quarter of a degree (same peak power, 4-5 wtq across the board in the rest of the driving range, very picky), I'm going to agree with the consensus on d-series.org that a stock cam naturally aspirated D16 doesn't need an adjustable cam gear.  Aftermarket cams being cut on a "close enough" index, of course they need to be dialled into reality.  Turbo D16 run against the limitations of their head/port early, and are responsive to cam adjustments to keep power up top from falling off.

Circuitworx/Prodrive fail just as often as the OEM gear fails.  The problem is the crank flexing under power and ramming the gear against the housing, not what the gear is made of.
