Sir, if that is a post-'69 302 block then I officially declare you the loser of whatever this little internet pissing match is supposed to be about.  And that's pretty sad when we're arguing with a dude who has "all motor" in his email address.  Pretty fucking sad.

Ive had that email adress for 10 years lol

Looks like a 13 second car to me...woooohoooo.

I was making fun of your car, not your buddies.  Thats pretty stupid to post a picture of your buddies car and a shitstang on the bottle when you are trying to prove a point.  I have alot of pics of buddies cars that made alot more then 540, impressive but it's not yours...

I wish you were local so I could hand you your ass.  The main reason for my build was to put mustangs in their place.  however, it's not mustangs I hate, its the drivers.

***leaves this thread to make a noob post with porn.***

I'm not going to let this thread steal another minute of my time.  I'm done, going to go get broken in to this site the right way.

this is a post 69 block as a matter of fact the same 88 block that came in it and yes on spray with slicks it was only a high 12/ low 13 sec car witch is why im going boosted this summer but for the 300 dollars extra i have into this car is it worth it to almost have decent times? IMO yes ...do i realize the blocks suck and will split in half with anything you throw at them and that a car with 1/3 as many liters can go just as fast....yes but fuck it if it still runs why not brake it first? Then move to something serous. Im pretty sure that im not the first perosn to brake my shit before i build something serous. I still like hondas, im not some dumb hillbilly but i tell u what i traded this for my 98 GTI VR6 and IMO getting away from volkswagons in any way possible was worth it.

the reason i posted jerrbears car was b/c i wasnt sure whos car u were calling cheap, shitty ,and slow? the reason i backed him up was b/c his  O0 ass only has time to get on here when he is at work, his homestead is rather primitave.

These gussets are 16guage cold rolled steel, per scca guidelines, incase I ever DO get into road racing. I dont know how this would work on thicker material, but for thin stuff it works great

If you don't road race / lap the car, what is the cage for , and the seat, and the harness?? ect.

Not hating , just curious about what form of motorsport you do participate in.

As for cars on the cover of magazines, I have yet to see one I would really want. Usually they are all bling'd out with "replica"  parts or $900 spoilers that were only made for 2 months in JDM land.  99/100 the owner lacks the ability or knowledge to create anything themselves.  Your panel dimplier is cool , but you are correct that any sanctioning body like the SCCA or NASA wouldn't tech the car based on not only the thickness, but the welds in  that cage.  Any toolshed can get a line of credit and bolt parts to a car , very very few people on HT have the intelligence to actually DIY let alone understand the principals.

I don't get the hate on for JD...

I built the car with the intent of HPDE's/Lapping days, however I got tired of getting beat at the local night races and random mustang encounters on the freeway so I decided to ditch the n/a setup and boost it.  now that its boosted it doesn't make a very good RR/AutoX car.

I have yet to see replica parts on any honda-tuning cover car, and I happen to like $900 wings that were only made for 2 months lol.

The wall thickness of the cage material would pass, it is regulation thickness, the gussets are also by the book 16guage m/s.  The only thing I would be worried about passing tech is the welds.  That was my first attempt at building a cage and only about my 3rd time using a mig.  It is far from perfect, but not bad giving the circumstances.

I agree with the fact that most people on H-T pay for the car to be built, Alot of the locals to the Seattle area here that have made magazines lately are not like that at all.  Toto, Yee, Steve, Dennis and Jeff all live this shit too, and do all the work themselves.
