I'm bringing the sammy project over. So here are the pics of it and what tech I got. I'm not really going to bothe much with the other posts that when with it.
As far as the tech stuff
the engine is a 1.3 sammy motor
1.0 3 cyl pistons, they are flat tops and give me a cr of about 9.2
A "stage 1" cam, suppossed to be better, noone has any specs on it, I got it in a grab bag kinda deal
the carbs are off of a 600gsx katana from 98+
I built the manifold from a peice of 1.5" thick stock I hole sawed the ports into with a drill press.
The cyl. head is an 8 valve head from a 1.6 sidekick engine.
As for the carbs, they worked great, I needed to mod the throttle cable and run a manual choke cable for the enrichment curcuit on the carbs, Works great.
The jetting was a bit of work. NA my best jetting was 160 jets.
On the turbo at about 10psi, my best jetting is still up in the air but 200's have got me close. I havn't changed any other jetting just the mains.
My fuel system is an aeromotive regulator, boost ref'd
my ign is a msd6 btm, best detonation free tuning has been seen at about 1 degree per pound. But thats at a afr that is still leaner than i'd like.
It makes 127 HP on a mustng 1750se dyno at about 10psi
The restrictor for the turbo ended up being .110. Any less and I didn't feel it got enough oil, running a #4 line with no restrictor caused smoke.
there is a hunch of pressure drop across the slides so myref for fuel pressure is from the plenum and for boost retard from the manifold.
Its alot of fun.
