i'm not wasting my time arguing which is better.. it's obviously opinion based so piss off.

I don't use apple hardware, I run the cracked version on my Dell with plenty of video power.

and I HIGHLY doubt macs get compromised more than pc.. that's fucking silly.
show us some statistics to back up your claim you ugly son of a bitch.  ;D

your a tool if you have to use a CRACKED version of mac os to get it working.

I've always had bad experiences with apple products.  I've tried using their desktops, laptops and ipods.  All of them suck.  security on both the desktops and laptops are unexplainably bad.  The layout is just plain retarded.  Not to mention you are buying half the product for 4x the price.

As far as the Ipod goes...I've had 3...they all broke.  what a surprise...

I've had my zune for a year and a half now...weird...i've never had a problem with it.

Seriously dude? Are you high? Mac isn't taking over anything, and the next generation sure as hell isn't going to be using apple. If you haven't noticed, apples have been in schools for 15+ years now, and there's still no one buying those piles of junk.  It just results in a bunch of kids that get pissed off when they have to use crappy computers at school.

- POOR h.264 encoding support, there's handbrake but it sucks in comparison to x264 that's available for Windows and I think Linux

- POOR game support, no DirectX

- Does not have MS Visual Studio which I use for C#

In other words, it has its purpose but I have no purpose for it.  The main apps I want are not on it.

If you say you don't have to worry about malware, that's only because they aren't as big of a target since the userbase is much, much smaller.  I've been running Windows for years without an anti-virus, anti-spyware, or firewall, and haven't had a problem with a virus or anything.  A little caution and common sense goes a long way.

As far as leopard (snow leopard?), does it have Radeon 4800 series support yet?  I'd like to install a mac partition just to build some experience with it and nothing else.

My opinion, mac's are okay, I've messed with em and they worked pretty much flawlessly, however every Mac owner I've ever talked to thought their shit came out coated in gold and smelling like a fresh summer rain. That includes relatives, friends, and people who used to call in to the cable company to get support. Their shit can't be the one at fault, if you ask what version if windows they're running (which was 98% of all users who called in) they got pissed, and there is no way their precious Airport can be broken. You got regular jackasses who had windows machines all the time, but atleast they didn't try to act elite. And the only guy who ever called in that had a Linux couldn't connect because he didn't pay his bill and threatened to hack our system.

So cliffsnotes, the ordinary user for each operating system I've dealt with was:
Windows - Dumbass
MAC - Elitist Dumbass
Linux - Imma hack j00 Dumbass

Edit: Now that I'm thinking back, there was one other guy who had a Linux PC who thought it was "Windows Vista XPGT" or something like that and claimed to no end it was Windows based.

Truth. If you don't assume this a 15 minute call will turn into a 1 hr 45 minute call easily.

If I used my pc to run Pro Tools, it would be the equivalent of using Prodigy to run my internet.

"Soul Doubt" by Stealth, Tre, B-Dub & MCP would sound like "Bitch, Don't Leave Me" by 4 poundzz.

Come on, ya gotta gimme some lovin for that one bitchez.
