great car wax

i've used quite a few waxes and for my black car a bad wax shows. went to an auto paint supply shop today and bought a new wax called Adams Buttery Car Wax. borrowed my buddies makita 7" polisher, hit the car with 3M's rubbing compound, and cut down into the clear quite a bit. followed then by a polishing compound, along with the new wax and detail spray. i'm impressed. its one of the best waxes i've used. its a carnauba mixed with some polymers, easy application, easy clean up and removal. my paint looks like a mirror, its awesome. no swirl marks at all. very good quality wax

one of the guys at the paint shop told me about another type of finish, BlueMagics TR-3 Resin Glaze, i'll give that a shot after a few more waxes but it sounds like it could be great http://bluemagicusa.com/index.php/blue_magic/products/91/tr_3_resin_glaze_polish/

I think Stealthmode has a few children in some of his socks. I picked up one of his socks thinking it was mine and it was crunchy. Now I spend all day wondering what the hell might be laying eggs under my fingernails.

wax is for cars that 1, still have a clear coat and 2, don't have places you can put your foot through because of rust

i had a guy try to trade me detailing work for an LS swap once. i LOL'd. i own shiny cars, but im not trading a mint running swap for someone to do just as shitty of a job cleaning them as i can do on my own.

I stick with 100% Carnuba.  All other polishes takes off a small amount of clear and I want my paint to last a while.  I use mothers and generally wax it every 2 to 3 weeks

I wish I had a car that shined.

My 1990 Y49 CRX's paint may not shine...but it's what's on the inside that counts (broke-ass d16a6).

I once cleaned the miata good and used some kit-car stuff from autozone and it actually got rid of the 50,000,000 tiny scratches in the clear coat. Then waxed it and it looked like new. But after a few weeks it faded and I never redid it, couple months later it was back to normal.

are you aware that there is a difference in wax and polish?

a polish does remove a small amount of material. it removes the dull paint and uncovers new shiney paint.

wax coates and seals the paint.

my paint was in such bad shape polish didnt even help, hence where the rubbing compound came into play. with that on top of the polish on top of the wax, fucking phenomenal. i'll get pics up later. car got covered in snow today. fucking spokane.

I use some regular ass carnuba Turtle Wax. Works great on scratched xbox disc too

thats why i wax it every other month. we'll see hwo long this lasts first though compared to some of the paste waxes i've used before
