Motorla VT2442 Router = shit

Ok so this router is the biggest piece of shit every created. I can't hardly get in games on Xbox Live because it keeps setting my NAT to strict. I have opened ports, did "custom" port forwarding, and even tried setting my 360 outside NAT using DMZ. Nothing changes on the POS.

My connection randomly decided to be open the past week. Get on today and it's back to strict when NOTHING changed. Yet again can't get my connection open for shit. This just furthers my opinion that ever Motorola product I have ever owned is complete crap. Which one of you nogs has a Linksys wireless router laying in their closet they don't need?

I thought you had a linksys?

Been using the same one for years, still no problems.  Throw on dd-wrt or tomato and you're good.

Na current router is all wired. It's old people that live around us anyways, trust me I was searching for a wireless signal to jack myself haha

$25 used WRT54G off egay, that was after a Belkin and TRENDnet would run hot and over heat. I'd have to rest them every 3-5 days.

My Linksys I've resetted twice.....but both times it was the cable company doing modem updates that cause 10 minute outages at 2 am.

Are you kidding me? I've used 3 WRT54Gs and they are all completely flawless. Also have an Asus now too which hasn't given me any problems. The Linksys wrt54g is one of the most popular and stable routers available.

The Liinksys wireless router I had was a pile of shit.  The D-Link has been chugging along quite well so far.

I think the Linksys that I bought was a bastard child, and is not one of the hackable ones.  Dunno, don't really care all that much.

i hate my new DSL modem that i got.
i had a 2wire and worked great for about a year then one day just stopped working. went and got a new one and ended up with a actiontec one and i swear my connection slowed down to at least half of what it was before. and it resets itself and drops my connection all the damn time.
