My isuzu trooper is about to turn 200k, and has been beat and will continue to be beat until it dies.

I have nothing bad to say about my experiences with isuzu.

Weird. I'm going to pick up an suv in the same year range but I'm thinking about a Cherokee. They're so fucking cheap to insure compared to cars. My insurance company wants something over three grand a year for coverage on a newer car like 2000-2005 range and about 1000 for a truck or suv. Nice choice

Nice Pickup.

I LOVE my rodeo.

Its a 94 and a beast. Bought it for the winter (incidentally its snowing down at my house for thei first time this season today).

They are solid fucking rides that do work in the snow... PICs? Just keep the oil clean, the top ends like to develop lifter tick..  Otherwisxe mine has 200K on it and runs fucking PERFECT (The synthetic 0-30 trick took care of the tick on mine quickly), great power. I have 31x10.5x15 on snowflakes on mine and just ordered some KYB gas adjust shocks (took JYRs advice), and an add a leaf for the rear... then will crank the torsio bars up about an inch for an inch lift....

Newer Cherokees are shit.

How does it pull at 66% throttle nigger???   :P

I agree, I got my first crx back in 98, and sold it in 01 because it got backed over by a suburban....lol I then got a 99 cutlass, it was a nice ride untill the transmission went to shit. Sold it bought my crx in 02 its been my dd since. I only commute about 3-5 miles round trip each day in the crx. My wife drives our 07 Trailblazer LT, fucker is nice   Heated leather 4X4. And just down right comfortable to ride in. If I have to go anywhere longer than 10 miles. I usually drive that rig.

chevy tranny, waiting on a 4.3ltr vortec swap. unfortunately, I think my chassis will be shit by the time its ready for the swap. N. Indiana sucks...salted roads, etc. I am highly considering a OME small lift and roof rack for the summer. Possibly even a  f/r bumper addition. I plan to take my trooper to the northern part of Michigan for some primitive camping this summer.

the 0-w30 SYN  is a must. if you ever take any of my advice josh, please do this. mobile 1 @ walmart is the trick. also, a napa WIC filter is almost a must. (rated on bobistheoilguy.com as the best filter out there)

The "trooper tick" is super common and something to think about. the 0w30 will cure this.

http://www.independent4x.com/ will be your friend for anything off road, as will calmini.com or pirate4x4.com. I have found a few expedition websites that speak highly of the isuzu chassis, and if your interested, lmk and I will get you those sites.

IMO though, the cargo area of your truck will see groceries and diapers.  :-*

Planetisuzu.com is good too. Walmart has 5 qt jugs of mobile 1 0-30 for like 22 bux and it works. I'm trying the supertech this time around as I've heard that it works too.

A calmini stabilizer is on my. Xmas list. That the helper springs and  kyb s and I'm good.

So are you planning on using one of the fiero adapters to go from 60 degree bolt pattern to the vortech or is the 4 cyl version use adifferent plate?
