He got the wagon with a couple of fucked up partially chewed gears, fixed that and drove it for a while. It's had maybe 3500 miles of life turbocharged, he has launched it a number of times but so far so good. The gearbox is some odd double countershaft unit that is obviously not as strong as the normal gearboxes, but he has spares and doesn't give a shit.

Funny thing is awd vw/audi/subies are the most common to be pulled from ditches because ppl think awd is god's solution for snow. Smaller civics are actually decent in snow if you know what you're doing. Done right, you don't have to turn the wheel more than 45*.

We've had a foot on the ground for almost a month now. Only thing I like snow for is pushing drunk friends into it.

Old blue was an ED chassis, and it was on I-40. Wes owns the wagon, and it bounces nicely - unlike old blue.

I live in Canada, where it snows 6 months of the year and I will say that light cars in general are garbage in the snow.

AWD is great, it doesn't make you handle any better or most importantly stop any better, it's just more fun.
