Ceramic coating.

My dad and i have been into powdercoating for about 5 years now and we just took our first shot at ceramic coating. did a DP, and some other stuff for a wrx. stuff is good for 2000 degrees.i'll get more pics up soon.


prices are very low and turn around time will be about a week if anyone is interested.

cool. i have gotten most of my stuff from eastwood.com

im not happy with their stuff, but they sell in small quantities pretty cheap and i dont do a whole lot at once and im still using a household oven. i will check them out

yeah eastwood has good stuff but they take forever with shipping. i can usually have parts in and out within a few days. but if it takes them a week to get me the powder the customer is on hold, which sucks.

i have always gotten things in just a few days form them, but it seems like their powders arent consistant. i get varying results from their stuff, but i have used other powers with solid results

Powder coating, or paint, is a really good way to fuck up your electrical system if you don't THINK about it.  I'd consider doing it for a really clean setup you garage most of the time, but you need to ground the alternator housing to a ground bar, and use it as your main ground point for starter, thermostat (ECU) ground, chassis ground, etc.

i dont think my car has a ground right now i was gonna buy one but i wanna diy hmt and buy just the bar and then custom powder coat it like nate and then instal to the starter and alternator on the engine
