Raising up an Accord
« on: December 29, 2009, 01:11:49 AM »

Got a 92 accord from Astrovannin for a winter car.  5spd , 500,000 kms  a real beauty.  Besides being my daily driver while the SiR sleeps we plan to do some winter rally's with it.  What's an easy way to raise it up? say 2-3"

I'm assuming raise it up from stock ride height?  Slightly larger tire, and springs/struts off a wagon.  Those should be stiffer, so the car will sit higher.

those things absoutely blow.  so do their rubber counterparts.  i had an 81 caddy sedan deville and it had one rear spring that was shorter than the other side.  the cheap fix was those spacers but they kept falling out cause i drove the ever loving piss out of that car

I was considering that as a means of lifting suburbia SUV's like honda pilots and toyota highlanders (girlfriend decided she likes beating the piss out of her car in the mud).  Just gotta find sleeves that'd fit the stock shocks.

Get some air shocks. Mount the schrater valve on the bumper or something. When ever you need to "rally" stop at a gas station and air up.
