Here we are in the new home....RHMT

My white car got rear ended and i bought another one (a black SI) so it got the turbo instead.

I hurt the motor in the black car this weekend on my road trip to see some buddies in PG, so back to driving Snow White (recently released from the body shop).

Pics below Enjoy and comment.

Evill mani

Clutch install

this thing was clearly no match for my 9# D

some pics of the ECU that was missing parts as it turned out

charge pipes mock up, can you believe i conviced a nog to help me build this in his driveway on his wedding day... O0

my pride and joy, welded and drilled rail, yup boys this was the point of no return

install complete, getting it to run, not so much at this point

front view

new shoes ;D

rear disks yo!

tools for making a pipe for the previously open wastegate dump

after reading about this being a bad idea, i turned it and it dumps right beside the open down pipe :y

interior

super honda gets stealthy ....

and again with some big flat ass for those of you who know you like it

and a couple overalls... just looking good

On the way home from work one day (same day i was to prove the D's worth, she spit the BOV in protest

back up and racing in 2 hours

After almost 4 months and 10,000 km of beating on it, something finally let go on my way up this weekend.....
Seems to still be fireing on all holes, just some are weaker than others. Oh and the typical big time puff puff out the valve cover hose. Betting cracked pison/ringland! Opinions?

Kinda hard to tell in the vid, but the second one where it sounds like a lopy cam... well its' not the cam.

Box of shit and stuff

Pre-dissassembly

The crank looks decent too

Except it did have these marks where the seal goes (appears on the snout and flywheel side?!?!

The worst hole, doesn't look tooo hurt...

Pistons got rings and dropped into the bores and all the rotating assembly is now tightened up as of last night

Checking Ring gap... came out to .018" top and .022" second out of the box seemed more than big enough. (.0065/in and .0075/in resp.)

The infinite spellabilites of the asian market....haha coating gives you increased strenghth's :D I think it also suggests for max perf. that the pistons be kept to low RPMs :S

Shop's AC and heating systems.

To access to your race car in BC you need one of these (note this is a 25yo Eaton's VIKING model top not shit damn near throws the snow over the house)

The parts safely stowed away.

Ok not too much accomplished here last night, but here it is anyways. Got the pistons facing the right way now (thanks guys for catching that) and the oil pump and rear main saddle mounted.

The beach is 'that' way haha

All in and torqued.

Can't seem to get over how well these rods bring the damn near 0 deck height back.

Oil pump cleaned lubed and lock-tighted, ready to go

New O-ring courtosy of the FJT superkit.

Buttoned up

New rms and saddle installed.

Look Jr Digger wheels...aren't they cute.

Looks like a Russian hat up atop there!

Some perspective

The slide is burried

Race car for the past two seasons.

Thx, have more updates, but will hold off until I get the right head studs installed.  Probably be next week, as long as my delivery guy goes to the coast this weekend.

[edit]  I also have a few pics of the car wash "hot tank" session, and the ball hone goodness, if i can find out how to get them off this pos phone.

ah k been a while and its been going slow but its finally coming together, cleanup-ported the intake and sized it for a gsr TB, also go the right studs in and the head on an torqued.  bastards at our parts store wont sell  aircraft paint stripper over the counter anymore and won't give it to me under either.. fuckers.  so it looks like it might have to go back together with its sketchass half peeled valve cover.  anyways... on to some pics

virgin mani

the ports generally looked like this before i started with the sand roles

started working em in a bit

and more or less what they looked like finished (from right to left)

TB missmatch

and some grinding courtosy of free dremel...wich lasted all of about 4 minutes before i toated it.

On to airtools... if i had time i'd go back and spend a bit more time with a sand roll but untill it comes off again its just the way the carbide left it.

Differnce in stud length for a Y8 and a Z6(long ones)

Head on...anyone know what these numbers mean? just curious

Thanks for some ideas I'm building d16z6 w/ y8 head w/ vitaras w/ z6 mani and w/ h23 tb for now.

What intake mani are you using? (it looks like z6)

What is the bore size on that GSR TB is it bigger than 62mm?  ;D

That sucks about the Dodge, at least you hadn't done any work to it yet.

Looks good! Time to find another fuel rail, and order up the new injectors, and a 4 bar map sensor.

i wanted a 12 valve so bad but i couldn't find one local that i liked or was cheap enough.  ended up buying a suburban 6.5 instead.  sucks about the cummins.

as far as those letters, i'm pretty sure the crank code is on the flywheel end of the block and there is 5 letters, one for each of the mains.  can you zoom out a little on that picture or tell us what surface that is?  looks like on the head under the vtec solenoid.  might be the cam bearings but idk.
