Found this in a box of nuts and bolts a few months ago and Im a fucking idiot and have know idea where it came from? No engine I took appart.

I would say oil pressure but its kinda short and the plug on the back is kinda wierd.

Word and knock sensors are almost never in one piece. That glue to hold the plastic together is wack.

Not to mention you need a deep 27mm socket to get the fuckers off or a pair of vise grips for the trailer park style.

I used the vise grips, couldn't find my deep socket.... and then I bought a new one to install the new knock sensor.

Deff not, This has a 2 prong plug. Been a looong time since ive seen one but it kinda looks like the thermostatic switch on an old Honda Valkyrie but they have one prong.

It looks like there is a hole in the end of it, so I would bet on a pressure sensor or switch of some sort.

end does have a dimple/hole like a knock sensor. I figured it was a pressure sensor also but from where?



Well Im pretty sure this isnt a honda sensor at this point so i feel better, Just wish I knew where it came from. I know now where its going, in the trash.

Thermo Switch = as above

Temp sensor = variable resistance based on temp

Pressure switch = think about it...



I think it's actually an A/C system pressure switch. I recall seeing that pin style on OBD0 Hondas/Acuras. If so, it would either be a low pressure (couple psi) or higher pressure (~45psi) activation pressure.

Now that you mention it, that is exactly what it looks like.
