Are there ever times that you appreciate having some extra knowledge, abilities, or whatever that enables you to overcome simple and complex shit?  RHMT sure as shit has helped me save tons of bucks AND wow my friends when I ghetto fab fix their shit (without it failing or breaking later).  As for appreciating life...well thats different.


I was outside today taking apart the interior of my s12 to look for this horrible water leak coming from the roof somewhere(worse than a crx strut leak).  I found that almost the entire upper windshield seal wasnt sealing shit. 

So I actually considered giving a windshield replacement/repair place a call for a quote on resealing my shit.  Before I did I said fuck that.  The money it would take could pay for half a dozen asian buffet dinners!  So in rhmt style I remember silicone, rtv, etc.  I got some shingle/roof sealant for $4 from lowes, sealed the windshield, and reapplied the old weatherstrip on top of it.  FIXED!

Then I went with a buddy to eat some asian buffet  :yes:

It might.  It wont on mine since its not in contact with any actual metal.  applied an enamel rust prevention paint first, etc etc. 

And since its an s12, oh wells its to be expected if it happens.  Mine isnt rust though

I want it drivable in all weather condition as soon as possible.  Im not worried about any sealants eating the metal or not.  It will be removed anyways in the summer when I strip off everything possible when I paint it this summer
