How about we isolate if it is the machine, or the hand control first.

Buk, undo the hand amp control from the machine. Set it for like 10 amps, proceed to strike an arc. Then set it for 100amps and strike an arc, there should be an obvious difference. If there isn't then it is the machine. If it is, there maybe something wrong with the hand control.

apparently both the foot pedal and remote switch are not working as variable switches

they are just on off switches and the machine doesnt change weather i set it to 0 amps or 100 amps..

local welding store wants 70 bucks just to look at my welder.. lawl

ok so the amp dial on the econotig isnt supposed to work.. that for stick welding mode..

tig welding mode you can only control the amperage through the foot pedal or hand control..

but neither of mine are working.. or atleast the foot pedal is permanetly set at a high amperage and when i connect the hand control it makes a tamer arc so im assuming lower amperage..

operating manual says its ok to blow out/vaccum the inside of the welder for what im assuming is dust..

Why don't you just sell the welder on Craigslist for the same amount as you got it.  You're an Arab so you can just claim you got in an auction and you want to turn and sell it because your cousin who owns a gas station didn't want it because it's not a MIG welder.  Then hunt Craigslist for a Syncrowave 180 or a Lincoln 185 or a huge old Syncrowave 250.

as you can see all the wires go somewhere.. doesnt look like there are any loose wires...


the wire that runs down along the bottom of the welder connects to something on the other side





only thing out of place on the welder.. that i could see.. was this wire connector that didnt have a wire connected.. but who knows maybe thats how its supposed to be..

IPA in a spray bottle at as high of a % as you can get. I clean everything electrical with it at work. I have to remove big clumps of hardened flour and powders from boards all the time. Just let it dry before you power it back up, and don't soak down any transformers or pots too much. A toothbrush works good too.
