I love my Econotig. I've been using it for about three years now, bought it used, and it's always worked great!

That sheet is really confusing me about the amperage control dial, because it absolutely changes all of my aperage settings when using the TIG function

Anyway, hopefully you'll get the welder back with a minimum of cost involved.

apparently it didnt effect it on older econotigs only on the newer ones?

Mig welder is great can take anywhere and can do general repair exhaust work in no time. Buk doesnt get that the few people who make a living at performance stuff are fuckin on another level with ungodly amount of years behind them. Not to mention most were around old school motorheads who taught them the ropes.

I didn't feel like going through all 6 pages. The first pictures on page 1 and then seeing it was a fucking tig?

HOW DO YOU SUCK THAT BAD? It looks like you're trying to weld with a plasma cutter using dogshit as filler. Fuck.

I read page six. Your welder is FUUUUUUUCKED. Really. The first time i jumped on a tig machine i could run a bead. It looked like flux core because i didn't use enough heat but yeah....it wasn't burning through with a crazy ass ark

I alwasy use NEEDLE SHARP tungsten when i weld steel and i ball it up when i use aluminum.

I also used red for steel and green for aluminum.

I'm so ready for my tig welder...... Already have my 220v cords, breakers and concrete ready for the shop to get dropped off..... Just gotta get on my down payment and i'll be pumping out exhausts, manifolds and stuff like that for friends.

i didnt read all posts...but what kind of gas are you using...should be using argon....thats what we use in our shop....looks like its a gas issue....just my 2 cents...

Why replace a board than can be fixed with a few hours, a multi meter, and some sense? Welder boards are not that complex and at the very least dc amprage And gas control should be able to be salvaged with a hasty runthrough of the welder and possibly bypassing some digital controls. It's a fucking power supply, for christ sakes.

im selling my sc61 turbo kit (for a sad 1200 bucks)

then i figure i can sell the busted welder for 400..

civic i got in the backyard for 1500.. not to mention i got a buyer for my crx for 2700.. i might be able to buy the welder flat out..

if i can atleast manage a nice chunk of change as a downpayment i can put down a decent downpayment... and make my monthly payments less
