resistor box wires

i got this resistor box out of an accord at the jy and it already had the connector snipped, im doing a mpfi swap.
i assume the red wire hooks to the wires that go back to the ecu, and you just use 'any' of the black wires to hook to the injectors?

there is 1 red and 6 black/identical wires

red wire goes to switched 12v. black goes to injector power supply

Yes.

I have my power wire hooked directly to my key ignition power.


The other black wires go directly to each wire for the injector.

I hate resistor boxes.  Why anyone thought it was a good idea to run 4 signal lines in and then 1 out is beyond me.  I always used $1 inline resistors.  It was cheaper and easier to install.  Get a project box for $5.  Drill 4 holes through the resistor box.  Glue the resistors to the box.  Solder wires through resistor box.  Seal that up with glue/caulk/whatever.  Done and done.  $8 in parts and it always made more sense to me in the end.  Maybe I'm just retarded, but I always hated that 1 signal out line to go to 4 injectors.

Since the grounds are switched independently for each injector via the ECU, it does not matter.

Your individual resisters do the same exact fucking thing as a resister box with shittier packaging.

The resistor box works on the 12v side,   ecu grounds using the brown, red, blue, yellow injector wires.

They're not signal lines it's just a power source, dumbwig.  Events in DC electrical systems are actuated by grounding what is to be switched on, not by applying power to it.

Apparently you don't grasp how most people wire in a resister box on a Honduh...

UI's diagram isn't 100% accurate, but you still get the drift.

The +12V to the injectors is switched via the MFR if memory serves me correctly.

Yeah, they go to the dead end plug and wire it up.

I have a firm stance on working on 15 year old cars.  Don't start messing with the wiring unless you have to.  Thin OEM shit wire starts falling apart while you're wiring and you don't even know it.  So I go to the same dead end plug, but I cut the wires 8" from the plug and just wire them in.  One line in, one line out.  Very simple.  Impossible to fuck up.  Only 3' of wire to trace if something happens to break.

Certain Japanese automakers, coughtoyotacough, didn't know how to run wires between the doors and the chassis properly a mere 10 years ago while my 20 year old pile of shit Honduh is wired correctly in that area.

I had to build a harness for my STD hatch because some fuckstick tried to do an MPFI conversion, and failed miserably.  Almost all of the wires I used were at least 17 years old.  No issues at all.

so i would just twist all the yellow/black wires together and send them back to the ecu?(12v switched)

yellow black go to the main relay the grounds go back to the ecu.
so take all the 4 yellow black (+12V) wires and  twist together and run it to the red wire on the resistor box

<(looks like you have the one for an acura legend that is why is has 6 outputs)>

the run 4 of the black ones from resistor box back to injectors. and dont touch the other wires on the injectors they go straight back to the ecu.

For future reference & clairity: Injectors are constantly fed +12v switched on one side (yellow w/blk), via the main relay. The other side (multi-colored wires) run directly to the ecu, to the internal injector driver mosfets, which switch them to ground when they need to fire. It's kinda the opposite of how most electrical parts are fed, which is always grounded with a switch connected to +12v.

I can't think of anything easier to install than an OEM Honda resistor box, Rass.  They are dreadfully simple to make plug in and out of the dead man's plug, so you can take it to other cars, in total 1/5th the wiring required for shitty hard-to-package and hard-to-remove inline resistors.  That being said I can't be too angry with you since you've never done it, only talked about it a bunch on the internet.
