thats awesome for some of that stuff being sold in the 80's.. "turbo fuel booster" in the turbo kit section is awesome. probably pretty advanced for the time as well

Pretty awesome.

Too bad Honda has gone to shit and Mugen "tuned" Hondas are aesthetics and little-to-no performance mods nowadays.

The CRX on the "MUGEN TECHNICAL WHEEL ONLY FOR HONDA" page looks tits the way they photographed it. I obviously think the turbo kit very interesting (the placement, mainly), but also the "big bore" kit for the ZC. It works out to 76.5mm bore and 170bhp...

The 1987 exchange rate was ~160yen per dollar. It's interesting to see how certain things changed in price.

I'm going to King later this month, and I've known the service manager for years. I'll see if they have any other old mugen literature...

I remember going to the Classic Japanese Car show in Long beach a few years ago and remember seeing some of these old school CRX's. One of them had a oldschool HKS turbo kit. The owner had all the original manuals and brochures the car came with. It was like a time capsule. pretty advance shit for its time.
