Its an update from this thread she finally decided to sell it to me. She wanted $200,000 and I got it for $160,000

Everything else was sold that weekend. The land was the only thing they were auctioning off that had a "reserve" on it. She didn't accept the highest bid (which was me at $140,000) so we made a deal after the fact

Hell yeah. Real estate is all about location. Sure, $30,000 an acre is a ripoff at some parts of the country but its a good deal around my area. What makes it even better is the land around is all developed so they can never put a development in.

isnt that a bad thing? usually when you have land like that with surrounding developments the developers will pay a shit load to get that land too

Thats what I'm going to do. The property is at an intersection. I own 700ft on one roadfront and 350 on the other. I'd like to do a horseshoe driveway between both streets so you can't see the house like you said. I'd just be fucked if they ever put in public sewer and I'd have to pay per foot of road frontage.
