solid axle is fail, but struts aren't the disadvantage they used to be. two of the most successful road racing cars ever run struts (M3 and 911, and the cayman has struts at all 4 corners). the trick is managing how much the car rolls to keep the camber curves from getting retarded. extra caster is a big advantage as well, since it allows less static camber (read: more braking/acceleration contact patch).

My gf have one and I don't understand why it's in the middle. It's fucking stupid. We've fit an oven in the rear when I moved 2 years ago tho... A real big house oven, not a little pizza oven. Not only the oven was fitting in the back, but the door was also closing pretty well.

Very useful car seriously.

As an owner of a 97 accord (the last year they were normal sized), I can vouch for this. My car is smaller in just about everything except for wheelbase than a newer civic. Also weighs less too.
