I've been working full time & doing all the bullshit to get to the point where I can *start* closing on my house... yet I still fit a few hours in every other night on my b18a1. It's just stock for a winter beater (94 LS), but once I do close on the house, I'll be finishing turbo kit for it.
Tonight I finished swapping B1 cams into the A1. FYI the lift *is* different between the 90-91 and 94+ LS cams, all had 29mm base circles. Not much more, but enough to want to waste my time with it. I also made lifter adjustment tools. 1/4" drive deep-well sockets (10mm and 12mm) with a nut welded to the ends for a 17mm ratcheting box wrench to hold onto. Tomorrow I throw the new timing belt on and seal the bitch all up. Then next weekend I'll try to toss it in.
I also made the first steps towards a better e-cutout this week. I made a servo driver that works perfect and costs under $5 in parts. It should be half the weight of my current cutout, and easier to adjust too. Then once I get the house, I'll be making a bunch of them.
Last month I finished the A/C condenser&fan bracket. I flipped the fan to the front of it, meaning I had to completely redesign the condenser bracket...what a bitch that was.
