Well its been a long time sinc I updated this thread. I am planning on coming out and running hard for 2012, with that being said I went out and spent some money. I bought theidealone D2B setup that he had made. Until I get the kit and do some work I am going to post his pic's up!

Onto pic's!

Have to get my tranny case rewelded though. But these will go inside of it. LS 1/2, YS1 GSR 3/4, LS 5, and LS FD.

Went to PFI yesterday, and got my tranny case welded. Now I just need a clutch, so I can align the tranny to drill and tap the holes, and get this bitch back together.

But I also found a really good deal on a traction bar from a friend, so I gotta put the clutch off for now...

And finally got my tranny back together, and tapped new holes.

Ok, so I got some work done this weekend.

Halfshaft modifications:

Getting ready to put shit together:

D16 Flywheel:

CC D16 Disc w/ YS1 B17 Splines

Action 2MS PP:

Not sure if its was absolutely necessary, but it felt like it kept hanging up. So I notched the tranny a little bit where the thermostat housing bolt was hitting:

Heres a pic after it was in, of the front two bolts. Instead of it going from tranny to block, it goes through block to tranny.

Yea, not the greatest though. I had to grind down the housing, then cut open one of the ears (the one thats closest to the front when bolting up to the tranny). Then weld 3/16" tabs on to space it, and replace the ear that was cut open. The rear hole is where it pivots from, and the front needs to be welded just so, so that it contacts the flywheel. Also, I drilled out the rear hole, and tapped the tranny for m12, instead of having to weld and tap a new hole on the block...

Onto the pics.

Hope that helps.

I hope to make theidealone proud and run just as hard!

I had no idea any such DIY thing had been perpetrated here.  That's really cool.

I never knew of a thread on this. That's good news though. I'm getting a free LS tranny soon that I was going to use for the same experiment.

Dude, Ive NEVER been so terrible about shipping, as I was with that fuckin tranny. LOL. Im sorry man. I think it was just the effort/size/cost that made it so hard for me to get out. Never shipped something that big. And never will again. Next time that shit is getting sold local.

Otherwise, I usually have shit out same day I receive payment. I guess it also didnt help that you paid me before I even had a chance to get it out of the car.  :noel:

harbor freight 2 rolls of tape
dumpster diving at any matress store plastic found in dumpster works great
uhual large box

Yea, FedEx box was about as cheap as Uhaul I think. And Harbor Freight isnt close enough to warrant going there, when FedEx will let me finish taping with their tape for free. LOL. But that pink foam is expensive, as well as strapping tap. And you already know I know about flat rate boxes. LOL. Its more so finding the time to get everything done, like pulling the tranny, cleaning it up, packaging, etc.

We still don't like you, but from now on we're going to talk a little less shit about you behind your back.  Solid work.
