Yes let me tell you how I sympathize for you, I woke up to -51c (-60f) this morning in this god forsaken place. It is so cold your spit cracks when it hits the ground. Stuck in Honolulu for a couple of days must be terrible.
I saw temps like that in the Red Desert part (Wamsutter ) of Wyoming back in the mid '90s.
I was at a site where Enron was experimenting w/ horizontal drilling for gas exploration.
I was sent to a location dubbed "Siberia Ridge" and it was -45F w/ -120F wind chills.
That was the coldest I ever wanted to experience. The '85 K5 Blazer I was driving could not keep heat in the cabin.
Had to block off all of the radiator to keep enough heat in the cooling system to get heat.
