Did some searching and found it.  Serbu Super-Shorty 12 Gauge.  Pretty nice.  Seems morelike a novelty thing to have.

hmm. its total length is 16.5 in.

i thought the legal limit for a shot gun was the barrel had to be 18 in?

800 round case.  Not too bad of a deal.  The mosin was 69.99.  With the bayonet it's pretty much perfect for zombies.

Got to tell you guys and your shotguns & big cal rifles... Huge zombie mistake! You're fucked. Ill take my 30-30's and .410 shotgun and their 10ft-lbs of recoil to your 40-50ft-lbs of recoil from a 12 gauge shooting buck/slugs or a large .30 cal rifle.
Im gunna be able to shoot longest without a broken / dislocated shoulders.
Ill take the 12-gauge, but only for emergency CQB. As in, assaulting the walmart for ammunition.

Must have a 22LR for the massive ammunition carrying ability, a .30 cal rifle for general mayhem a shotgun with #1 buckshot & slugs for CQB & a pistol equipped with lots of nasty ammo.

I wont be taking to the water. Eventually the sealife or sea-un-life as it were would exhaust your fishable food supply & Id rather die a veggy eating good stuff on land than trying to smoke seaweed.

1967 winchest canadian centennial matched set. one full 26" rifle, one 20" carbine.
the carbine doesn't weight 8lbs with 8+1 in it.

sorry for the old picture ive reposted a million times but

gotta tell you... if anyone wants to hold out on a hill fuck weak shit. we'll bring my grandfather's breach action 45-75 government. i know what you're thinking. why not just go to 50cal or 20mm. the answer is simple. anything you can melt, even if it's sloppy will fire from those old sloppy fit guns LoL!

meh. I wouldn't want all my weapons bolt action. Give me a pump action a bunch of 9 mils and one rifle and i will survive the apocalypse

Because i mean. think about it...why the hell would you be shooting zombies 100+ yards away? seems like a waste unless they are running at you. thats when you pull out your rifle and take them out. (in my case a m1 garand)
this would be my ulitmate weapon set up

I have heard horror storys about the carbine. like somebody shooting at a guy 10 times and hitting him every time yet he just kept running.

no thanks!

dont be ignorant. this is the zombie thread. this is vital survival information!!!
try shooting a vital area instead of shooting his fingers off
http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot8_3.htm
Even the 22LR busted a water jug behind clothing. ::)
Quote
Lessons learned:
1. As Forrest Gump said, "You never know what your going to get." We were surprised by the difference the clothing made in the pistol rounds performance. It sure seemed to make a big difference in whether the bullets expanded or not.
Conclusion: Heavy layers of clothing can prevent Jacket Hollow Points (JHP) from expanding.
2. The clothing didn't seem to be much of a factor for rifle rounds.
3. If the North Koreans seemed uneffected by the .30 Carbine rounds, they were probably not being hit. Because clothing won't stop a 30 Carbine.

seriously... the shooter missed, the ammunition was a dud, or the gun had a malfunction.

First, I folded the towel three times, making it 8 layers thick...
Froze it...
We went down range and were amazed that not only had it easily gone through the frozen material, but had penetrated 7 gallons of water. That is approximately 42 inches of water. That means about 21 inches of ballistic gelatin or human flesh. Since 12 inches is considered to be the minimum required penetration to reach vital organs, this round penetrated almost twice as far as needed...
lessons learned:
1. If anyone shot at a North Korean Commie and he didn't go down, it was because they missed him. Because frozen clothing sure won't slow down a .30 Carbine.
2. The old warhorse, the .45 ACP Ball, isn't exactly "weak" in the penetration category either.
3. I don't know how this rumor got started, but it looks like it was completely false.
4. The .30 Carbine, as we have noted before, is highly underrated in many categories.
5. Shooting stuff is fun.

I am going to go thru the paces to get myself a gun. If zombies don't end up coming. I will put it to use with my indian card to get free meat from the land.

If memory serves me right there are 6 dillon miniguns in civilian posession today.  And they have sold for around 60k.  You'd spend thousands shooting that thing.

dont worry jeff.
a good contingency plan is to knock over the local pawn shops. i must warn you, they will be heavily defended after Z-day. but not if you blow the building up or steal a truck and drive it through the entrance! or both! :D
