If you can create a tune so the common rail guys can turn and get fueling to 4K + rpm, you have just made an easy million $$. The common rail motor is a lot more efficient then the old 12v, but the p7100 (mechanical pump) guys can still get 5500 - 6000 rpm. A 4K fuel tune on a CR with a cam, would mean you could run a GT4202 over a GT47xx or S480/510 and still have it some what street able. What's funny is the euro guys are able to reflash an ECU within six months of the vehicle being sold. The "power structure" on the other side of the pond is completely fucked, but they have things regimented so that everyone knows their role + gets paid for it so it all works. They pay upwards of $10K to be able to do what an Ostrich v2.0 and the next version of TunerPro should be able to pull off, although the Ostrich needs to be upgraded with a lot more RAM to deal with some of the newer boxes.

I can play with Ford up to 04 via the J3 port, this includes some of the captive imports that run Ford ECUs (Protege, others). Not up on Chrysler, but it looks like they use the ISO OBD2 port protocols (up until the CAN era) and should be tweakable via a Tactrix cable.
