Pulled the engine out a couple weeks ago. Noticed a drop of water coming from behind the dipstick and turns out the outside of the block developed a crack, most likely due to the stress of the sleeves. Sending it back and they're taking care of it, so nothing major to spend funds on this Winter.
I did finally sell my 6 puck Clutch Specialties that I know I was on the edge of destroying, and the FIC 1000cc's that I maxed. Twin disk and 2150's for next year. Mostly for 4th gear track shit. The new turbo runs out of breath at 700 anyhow.
Completely happy with the streetability of the car this year at 542hp. My upgrades are strictly to take some stress off the injectors and clutch, gain more 4th gear power for the track, and continue playing this street/show/race car fence.
My larger goal this Winter is to purchase a jr dragster for "Baby Bin Laden" (my now 10 yr old oldest son pictured above). It's a clean 5K I'm gonna need to spend to give him the experience, but it's carbureted, which I have zero clue about.
I'm not thinking he's going "all in" competitive with it, and I'm just trying to give him the experience and see if it's something he's *really* into. I just don't want to make an ignorant 5K purchase, and even more, not get him in a car that can make a clean run because I didn't know the major things of these cars. I'm on a jr dragster forum being a noob.
