Since WOT is fine, IDK why you're bitching.
^THIS^
IDK might have to do with the 1500 mile round trip....
Change the trans filter last night and put fresh oil. Seems to be a lot better now but I can still feel it. Trans temps seem to be a bit higher then they should be. Then this morning the alt desisted to die on the way to work.
This is why I do not like buying Chevy, ford, or dodge; they always have stupid shit like this failing.
An Alt, starter, fuel pump, and other common parts should not fail every 100k or so, ever!!!!
/rant
Has around 180k, this will be the 3rd alt. No starters have been changed. Other wise its been a solid truck that I tow with a hand full of times per year.
BTW if you have not replaced the fuel filter in the last 15k and pump in the last 50k, get ready to.
Exactly why I have not owned a Domestic for a long time (not including my free '82 GT 'Stang).
Dammit Russ if I ever meet you in person im going to soccer kick you in the balls! Then maybe buy you a beer.
Fuel pump died yesterday at 4am just having past the pentagon, was on i389 making a hard banking left turn at 75mpg when I saw the biggest pothole (more like crater), with no time to aviod it i hit the damn thing.
Almos instantly lost power, to make the situation worse there was no shoulder. I costed as far as I could and came upon exit 3/4 and was able to park. Went over every fuse, connector, then realized I couldnt hear the fuel pump. Banging onthe gastank with a big wooden bat cause it to turn over for a sec.
Dc cops where cool and help me get the yukon off the road, and drive crx off the highway (more like a ripper!). Between the tow, the fuel pump, and the shop it was almost $800...
Regardless I had a great time, clutch called it quits and wouldn't hold shit for power at 30psi.
I have some pic's and vids to upload except them over the next few days.
Thanks a bunch to everyone that help! Foowee, JD, Joe, you guys rock!
