backfire at idle..

what do you think? engine is z6 vitara/eagle, ignition map at idle is set at 16.5º, i assume i should increase that due to low compressiont but idk if backfires will be for this. Car is not runs in the street yet.

what do you think?

Sounds more like it might be a slight misfire to me.

what are you tuning with? crome? occasionally i get a car that does that. havent found a way to get rid of it yet

Hi, engine sounds great, just sometimes it misfire/backfire.. idk if a stock base timing will cause that..

AFR is ok. 13.8-14 solid.

Most large injectors won't work *perfect*. I look at it this way - if the problem is only at idle, DONT LET IT IDLE! Post ripper vids already!! :P

I have never tuned those, but if they are anything like dsm 450's then that's your problem. I hate trying to idle dsm 450's. I always get stock idle and drivability with my tunes, but dsm injectors make me look bad

I honestly don't hear anything that sounds problematic, I've had stock cars idle worse. The g/f's SRT4 that sits in the yard is bone stock and doesn't sound that smooth at idle, I think you're fine personally.

It's a dodge. I have never heard of more idling issues with a brand like I have dodge.

They use Deka IV injectors, they aren't fantastic but better than old pintle style injectors.

Walter I'm in the process of making a whole bunch more 900cc sets, so I'll be getting you some pics soon.

Wes got 42mpg off of 500cc SRT-4 injectors in his turbo wagon.  Fuck all of you.

I got 37mpg on my turbo EF with 780cc Deka 1's. On uberdata. The srt-4 has 8-hole caps, but nearly all others use 2 or 4 holes. Jeep guys rave about upgrading to EV6 4-hole injectors over the Deka 4's, which is a half-decade older design.
