That may be true. But I need one.  There's a dude on craigslist who already has a chipped one. But no chip he says. I'd need someone to make and give me a basemap.
Also there's the chance of it being bad. I'm sure like all craigslist sheet.
What do you all think?

I would buy a burner and wide band before I spent money on an ecu. At least you have the ability tune before you need it. I personally have had the same Willem burner I bought from JD for the lump sum of 15$ for the past 3 years
Has tuned enough cars to buy me a burn2/burn1 about 5 times over

I had a willem burner for years. I let Marcj borrow it and I'm guessing he traded it for pills or something. Luckily I bought a burn 2 right before that cause I got tired of playing with jumpers and wanted a slightly more professional image since I started tuning for money then.

I'll look into it. It'd be nice to at least get a start on the computer stuff ;). Any links?
Any deals like that. I know I've found a tuning "kit" for 300

If you are going to run Crome, you need an ostrich $175 (chip emulator), hulog $30(I think) if you want to log, chip burner ($85 burn 2),  and wideband. If you run free software and log works it's cheaper than anything else. If you decide to get Crome pro then you might as well go demon/neptune. It's $400 and does everything except act as a wideband. Neptune is light years ahead of Crome in functionality and in my opinion, much better than $500 hondata.

Neptune need the same setup as crome?  I've heard that its better. Years ago.
Like I said I dunno. Just would be sweet to be able to toy and learn something.
Is Neptune free right?

It's really simple if you understand ecu chipping. The demon takes the place of the chip in the ecu and also connects to the data logging port. One USB cable lets you program and log. The Neptune software only works with the demon.

Having sound issues today.... ive heard this before, but it was never this loud and noticeable....
it goes away when revved, it doesn't go away when the clutch is in...
Did a valve adjustment, went intake .08 and .09 wont fit, ex .10 and .11 wont fit.
never had a issue before, been a few days since the valve adjustment. went to work, came home. Moved into the garage and I hear this...
http://s788.photobucket.com/user/sedrohatchstyle/media/VID_20140321_171822.mp4.html

Is it the valves  again :?
Im waiting for it to cool down, make sure i got the caps tight. Pretty sure I did but you never know...

THANKS

Look at your pads. Hear a pa tap tap meaning 1 could be wiped out only working 1 valve. Just take the damn thing apart

Looks okay... cam is a little scored twards the dizzy, rocker faces are a little scored. can't really tell in the pictures, but i don't think this would be making noise? everything moves freely
Looks horrible on the computer I just noticed... :D
Also noted, that it only does it when its warmed up.

uhhhh... idk I bought from a guy in bellingham, years ago, said it needed to be rebuilt.
In my shed it sat until finally the 1.5 on the freeway.. .kerplowy.
So what did I do, had to put it in did minor gaskets, drove her hard :D
probably put a good... id say 75000 on it since. Finally did valve seals two years ago,
Present day, would go thru a quart every 4 days or so... for the last year or so. i'd only add oil when my oil light would come on :)
got burned on the two motors. one had spun rod bearing.... bad.. black ring lol
second one, came with dizzy manifold harness, full long block... said it " may " have popped a head
got it home, took the head off in 30 minutes. top looked good, I have pictures somewhere.
thought ya okay this will be okay to slap the rings and bearings in...
ehhh wrong, cracked piston ring gland in one piston. and the bearings were chewed...
WELL I figured, meh my motor in my car doesn't knock or leak or whatever.
So I rebuilt it. rings bearings gaskets hone.
block came pretty clean.... head I didn't really clean, just the surface and brake cleaner and a pressure washer.... didn't go all out on it. I wanted it together.
The z6 head I have is in great shape and the plan is to put it on asap. Which SHOULD be next weekend.

If I can't verify compression or look at the bearings, I don't buy it - unless I can get it for nothing. Except when DasPoop brings them to my house, stuffed in the hatch of a CRX no less.
