They are ok, but not my favorite

well I have been looking at pics. and everything is made to look like craiger ss or whatever. or just looks like shit.

I'm having issue finding something I like that won't cost a fortune as a custom wheel. I don't want to spend more than a grand on wheels/tires as a set.

first step to putting interior back together (aka buying all new shit as its missing) would be sealing up the car so it doesnt get fubared again.

... no problem here, moving on...

cant be where the wind noise is coming from...

dont see how water will get passed this...

so after a quick internet search and realizing that a mordor has lots of doors requiring more weather stripping... its like 300bucks for seals. fuck that. then i found some other info from crazy guys on the forums...

so off to my favorite place, the junk yard... yes of course there are tons of Chevy II's out there  ::)

when i was randomly looking for stuff i was pulling door seals.

i liked this one. nice corner. little wind flap thing newer cars seem to have, vs the flat style i pulled out of the Nova.

oh, btw i did measure the door on the Nova first. its 11ft. this seal was just short of 12ft.

i used some 3M Super Weather Strip Adhesive on the cut seam and in a couple other hard spots.

so total comes to just under $20 after tax for 4 seals and the glue. just did the fronts for now as they where fubar, rears just look ok condition. and trunk was done by previous owner.

now i need to figure out how to reseal the rear windshield.

it was a 1992 Mitsubishi Galant LS  :-*  also grabbed the painted grill (wrong color, but not chrome, so win), and really want the wingless trunk...for a different car, not the Nova  ::)

first i would like to say FUCK YOU to Amazon for making this update possible... showed the seller as amazon.com, they are in seattle right? shit shipped from NJ and KY via the slowest shipper i know of: UPS. so after waiting 2-3 days for it to clear there whatever process, it took 6-7 days to show up. so fuck you UPS and Amazon. ill buy on ebay next time where i can see where its shipping from.

but really that didnt stop me from enjoying my Nova. did miss a couple late night store runs (took Galant) cuz the headlight was out. the seat just annoys/creeps me out.

always buy Sylvania/Osram bulbs.

see a problem here? cuz i do. fucker is like 10 shades darker.  O0

but thats what my ass is sitting on, and it deserves better.

LOL...whatever. still better than 90+% of the shit i was finding. work till i figure out what i wanna do with the rest.

no i didnt buy rears. fuck you, your sitting in the back cuz i dont like you enough to let you ride shotgun (and of course you know im cheap  :Jew::-*

ahh, another shit update by yours truly.... this is now i build thread i do believe. speaking of i dont think i laid out plans:
burnouts...till the 350/glide says otherwise
front clip/suspension/bigger brakes
LSX swap...duh.
4L80e probably
more burnouts/donuts
sort out interior somewhere in there along the way
wheels
boost
bigger/longer burnouts

this will probably get accomplished after AJ, but before Chad  :P

another shit update. still not spending money on her. trying to save up some money, but really im gonna buy a couple more things for the Galant. and i need to finish and sell the Integra before i buy anything too much.

i need some tunes for her. i have been just tossing my phone up on the dash. but it slides around and sound is shit, especially over wind noise. so i got an idea from my boss that has one similar to this on his desk, and i seen one in a 72 Nova the day before also.

MiniBoom i think its called. works well. doesnt move much. nice sound. great for working on cars to listen to some music too.
ill be putting full stereo system in at some point. just not sure what direction i want to go yet. so this should get me by for a while.

AJ made a comment about a sticker, i never bothered to put a sticker on. i guess i forget i have them sometimes. so now its on. 4dr are tricky. i have them on the rear windows in the galant, then drive with them down or vented most the time, so the sticker is tucked in the door.  :-\  i like this spot, but its on 2 curved surfaces. so not 100% straight lol.

decided im not doing shit to the gen1. just collect parts for gen3 swap, and front suspension.

I would just like to point out that this build thread has been moved to forced induction. You have 30 days to get boost on the nova or your Rhmt membership will be pulled. Thank you, Chad.

lol, AJ had his post here for like 2 years before there was even a turbo posted near it. i have already dropped a T67 on it, and did a mock of some gen1 turbo manifolds. hell i even have a bov i can say is for this project too. im ahead of the game  :P

and as someone else annoying pointed out it does say:  Custom FI Setup Questions and Build Threads. on the subject line for this forum. it can be read two different ways...

this is a turbo build, might be a slow one, but it will be boosted before your Novacorn  :-*
