I finally got the guys insurance info. He's a really nice old man, can't hear at all. Worked with my dad at the Mill who knows how long ago etc etc...

He didn't know he hit the car. No biggie.

I've never had to deal with insurance before do I call his company or do I let my insurance people handle it?

You can try his insurance 1st. It depends on if they want to be dicks about it and if he admits fault.

If they give you a hard time you will have to go through yours and let them fight it out.

went to local body shop, they're writing up estimate.

i had him write down every little thing that could possible be caused by the hit and run. the exhaust is tweeked to the side, you can see on the exhaust tip where it was pressed against the bumper and now its push off to the side and it rattles.

the bumper gaps are slightly off, there is some other gaps by the drivers door and around the back little window that may or may not have been there before.

while we where looking at it, i noticed a small dent and two big rub marks THAT WERE NOT THERE A COUPLE DAYS AGO on the opposite side rear quarter. which means another person hit my car with their door or something and took off.

i'm so sick of stupid people, this is why i do not drive expensive new cars anymore. they just get ruined by fuck tards and a lot of the time there is nothing you can do about it except constantly fix it yourself

started claim with insurance and they accepted liability. going to try and get a few bucks for diminished value. i have a friend who works at a car dealership and he wrote me up some docs with a trade in value for both wreck/no wreck.

~3500 no wreck and ~1500 with wreck on history

i'm going to press them for a better rental car they want to put me in one of those $20 a day shit boxes. maybe i can get a v6 camaro out of it or something.

Car goes into body shop Wednesday. I installed some 60lb injectors harness and tune today from zzp.

Runs better at idle and drivability is better doesn't seem any faster than the GM stg 2 tune.

I could go down to a 2.8 pulley from 3.0 on it now

The mileage display usually sits around 28-29 with a lot of city driving

I short shift it a lot but I also honk on it a lot too

pictures aren't there.

Did you replace it with the factory bilstiens or something  else?

I replaced mine with a frontier.  Looked at trucks forever but i couldn't find something reasonably priced so I went back with nissan again.

Fucking people want more for a used 4 year old tacoma than I could buy a brand new one from the dealership for. :mexi:

Truck looks good. Nissan's are really nice.

I put Chinese eBay ones on. I have a set of air bags for it I'll put on. Eventually

was last day of racing at PIR. i was busy all day and evening and didnt have time to prep or anything so i just drove there and ran it a few times.

i was kinda disappointed it was slower than i expected after all the roll racing ive done with it.

quickest et was 14.5 which i'm not worried about because with 40psi in the tires i couldn't get a decent launch and it wheel hopped really bad
but my fastest trap was only 97. something.

i was expecting over 100mph. it was about 65f outside so not really hot.

my dad has a ls1 m6 camaro and he barely pulled on me, and i trapped 104 in it. so i was expecting to be a lot closer. on the way home after driving down the highway it felt noticeably faster. i guess it was heat soaked from sitting in line at the strip.

i was planing on brining a cooler with some bags of ice to stick on the s/c when i ran that would've made a difference but didnt have time.

Had to put new thermostat in this morning wasn't heating up all the way, the inner seal was all broken and letting coolant pass.

Was kinda a pita it's under the CPS sensor on the back of the block. I had to remove CPS and make sure it didn't move

Works good now tho

Fixed this morning. Decided to roll the dice and put the crank marks up and reinstall CPS. Was 180 off so I just took off CPS and rotated crank around to marks again and lined up CPS out in. Seems fine now.
