Lol nah it still runs haven't touched anything for a while I've been ripping on it lately too

I drive it everyday. It's almost up to 226k miles

It seems like the build and tune and what not is solid for now

Go do some 1/4 or 1/8 runs, bet that would be fun  :noel: :noel: :noel:

Maybe some old skool 2am burnout in a secluded neighborhood while recording even better

had a couple problems was "overheating" even when it was cold outside but it was just the coolant temp sensor fucking up.

when i had it apart i put a chinese 3 row aluminum radiator in it and a new water pump.

of course the radiator didn't fit 100% the transmission coolant lines did not fit into the radiator. so i basically bypassed it and only use the front mount now.

i'll take some pics today

Nice!!

Had similar fitment issue with radiator for a '01 Integra and did the same thing with an overkill front mount trans cooler.   :noel:

Whenever I do a radiator I generally bypass the transmission cooler portion and do a dedicated cooler.

yeah its better if you use both, but honestly it doesn't really matter.

water removes heat better than air, on this aluminum radiator the cold side is like ~140 when the hot side is ~200 it can cool the trans fluid down really fast, then move it to the front mount for extra cooling after that. but like is said practically it doesn't matter.

i think i blew the plenum gasket i was having fun with it yesterday and it hit around 11psi and after idling for a minute it starts to blow oil smoke. it also idling rougher lol. drives normally otherwise

it doesn't smoke while driving or boosting you can't see smoke

i'll check the feed line on the turbo i dont remember looking at the fitting but i'm pretty sure its one that is pinched down to restrict flow

if the plenum gasket is blown im just going to jbweld it together.

yeah i looked at the oil feed line and its fine,

looked into the manifold through the throttle body and lots of oil in there lol.

i took intake off and the plenum bolts some were really loose, i'm sure it was lifting the plenum under boost. tons of oil in the intake and all over the plenum lol

i jbwelded the plenum plate thing right to the manifold with some high temp jbweld

well the high temp jbweld plenum to intake did not work.

if you're ready this, don't try it. its leaking massively already huge cloud of smoke and oil all over the intake. it just happened all of a sudden when the engine was revving down with a lot of vacuum

i was going to go to a u-pull-it type place and get one, they only want like 39.99 for intake manifolds but i wanted to bring my dog and didn't want to leave him in the truck for a while in the big city while i pulled it.

i found a guy on craigslist selling some parts from a engine swap. so i was gunna get a manifold from him for $50

he shows up with the bed of a dakota full of parts for free. i 'm like shietttttttttttttt

i was good and only took a few things beyond the manifold. he had a full engine gasket kit so i didnt even have to buy gaskets lol.

i bought a 1/4 thick plenum plate off ebay for $40. it looks good.

painted manifold cause it was pretty haggard with grease and whatever.

i also bought a metal radiator cap whatever the fuck they call that piece of shit, housing or whatever.

it was only a couple bucks and it looks good and seems a lot better than the plastic pos. i think my problem might have been the caps never went on really well and it seems like it might have been leaking pressure. whatever i dunno. i did a lot of shit. but basically it runs really well now like it did before i started having problems.

i ran around trying to get it to relearn the idle and i boosted on it a few times and it ran good and pulled like it should, didn't overheat or do anything weird.

seems good to go now. we'll see tho

also pulled the chevelle out and went for a cruise  O0

it must have a bad head gasket, it runs fine and boosts fine, but its pressurizing the coolant, and got some foam and bubbles.

i'll probably wait a while, but gets some MLS head gaskets and arp head studs, and get the heads rebuilt... since they have a couple bolts broken off in them

i'll probably throw some head gasket sealer in it for a while. its supposed to be good for diesels and my 21 gmc runs 40+psi of boost
