i've got an extra stock map sensor and a freescale 4 bar you can do a diy with.  i'll even solder it up and test it on my car for a bit extra

that was the route that i was going to go but my electronic boost gauge works off of a gm 3 bar

Get that 4 bar in a stock map sensor  and i'll trade you straight up for  an almost brand new gm 3 bar and a custom pnp adapter I made. I'd need the 4 bar soldered up though. I failed bad trying to do one.

oem cam with oem cam gear....

y8 cam with y8 cam gear

z6 cam with z6 cam gear... 

i didnt want to run 7:1 compression with vitaras so i went with the custom length rods and y8 head.  i think im about 8.6:1

i think if anything if I was to build one I would match the d16z6 motor with a 86-89 integra transmission. I hate breaking transmissions and the 1st gen teg transmission seems to be damn near bullet proof,not to mention junkyards are full of them. The l3 crx si transmission has been raped for years but how many 1st gen integras are just collecting rust in yards with perfectly good transmissions.



Whoever makes a diy home kit for some bolt in action with that transmission in the 88-91 civic/crx chassis I think will have a nice little product.


These vitara motors dont seem to have a weak link its the transmission that needs to be addressed.
