because if you have the Funds your honda can push 978hp with half the gas milage X2 the reliablity
Well, you got the mileage part right.
I swear that the majority of people who are into I4s have never owned, built, or driven a V8 powered anything ever. Let alone done all of the above.
The only thing I've owned that would break 30 mpg in the V8 world was a stock gear 5.0 Mustang (apparently common for most fox body 5.0), and a 283/Quadrajunk powered wagon. Both only achieved those figures by driving like there was an egg between your foot and the gas pedal. I've highway raped turbo 4 cyl on long road trips and netted 30-34 mpg. There's something about a family of engines that has a lower bsfc when boosted than most NA V8s even manage.
I swear the majority of people who express import vs domestic opinions are skewed by their bias, and rarely have valid real world experience much less an obsession with computing specific consumption.
Did you somehow misconstrue my reply there Joey?
You will be hard pressed to find bias from me when it comes to this issue.
Grew up with V8s, and started tinkering with I4s because I found them to be a little more interesting as a whole, yet still have a love for any engine that is not totally full of fail.
