Dude, just go to the jy and steal some of those fuel rail studs to replace your broken one.

I pulled some off a spare motor.. i'm just being slow about the repair because i'm so damn busy.

well, I went from the mini ram using a T3/T04E which had almost instant spool, to the sink trap using 3" up to the HX35 12cm housing, and then 2.5" down pipe.. yeah definitely a decrease in spool time, but it hauls a lot more ass after 5k rpm.

How do you distinguish between manifold and turbine/turbine housing spool characteristics in that comparison?

that was my point.. I cannot make an accurate assumption, but the bigger turbine house/wheel of the holset was obviously the biggest factor here. I would guess less than 500rpm of spool time was lost due to the J bend.

doesnt fit because of the down pipe? i always seemed to have cooling issues with the radiator not as far front and straight in the engine bay as can be. also though i always run half damaged single core junkers that i fixed with 2 part and a small a/c fan from an eg.... haha.

No.. it's a custom made radiator; was a full length for an integra or something, and my buddy cut it down to half size for a customer, and it ended up not fitting right (go figure).. so he let me have it.. I believe it's a fluidyne.

I'm pretty fed up with the whole fuel injectors leaking.. I'm replacing all of the studs, nuts and upgrading to an OBD1 or 2 fuel rail. The rail i'm using is OBD0 from my CRX HF project 7 years ago. I'm not in a major rush to get it back on the road since my clutch isn't here yet any way.

Victor X would be nice.. I've seen some huge gains from just making the switch.

my throttle body is off an S2000 (63mm) and the intake is port matched to it..

I don't think you're making enough power to justify a victor x just yet.

made a little bracket for the PLX with pipe strap, painted it flat black.. still waiting on my parts to come in to fix the fuel rail.

ostrich, dragger clutch and spool valve should be here sometime next week.

trying to sell my backdoor evo intercooler so I can go bigger.

2ohm delphi.. yeah it was an awesome price. Holly sells them for 150 + shipping usually, but they had a sale going on which knocked them down a lot. I should have bought as many to resell.

toying with this idea.. notice the a/c condenser in front of the radiator.. need to find a place that does custom lines

got this full 3" thermal exhaust.. 90 bucks! now I just need a flexpipe

Are you suggesting that he get a manifold because it looks sexy?

minor updates:

LSD's dragger clutch ftw

sending this back for a Demon RTP instead

Finally got my replacement fuel rail studs from Honda, got them in and wa-la, no more fuel leakage. so I take off hoping to see what a 15psi pull feels like, then I realize my TPS shows 0% constantly, and is causing a horrible idle surge/throttle response/etc. so I bring it back home :(

something is keeping me from getting the proper voltage. hopefully I'll get it working tomorrow; for now i've had enough.

of course it rains all day my day off, which I had planned to tune my car.. everything is setup for 15psi, might go tune part throttle any way.  >:(

btw, I used one of JD's tunes for an 880cc T70 setup, spools my turbo 1k rpm sooner! not sure why my tune was bunk. maybe the old wideband wasn't working 100% with freelog. using PLX m300 now. love it!

The tune he used is a log manifold street tune, made 404 at 21 psi off a not so super T70.  A little extra fuel and conservative timing will help anything spool.

Yep, I figured that out pretty quick while tuning once. Add a little more fuel down low and retard timing and you'll get a faster spool up.

I have only tuned my own car so far, so thanks for the tips. I did get my HX35 with around .90AR housing to build 6psi (no MBC, just a 6psi spring) in neutral with crome and it felt like it could do much more with a MBC installed.
At least my HX35 wont be building full boost after 5k if I mess around with the map a little more.

AR measurements do not apply to non-Garrett turbos.

Goforth should have 30+ psi antilag video off the 62-1 setup.

14CM^2 housing doesn't help spool on a stock motor though.

Marcj this is a very nice RHMT setup. Hope you get the problems sorted out quick. Holset FTW.
