hey i have a 98 Integra that I'm planning on turbocharging but now second guessing cause i need a reliable car, Is there anyway i can just run about 7-8 psi and still have a car i can use to get to work everyday?

the motor is a b20 LS thanks for any help guys.

On a side note:

The b20z from CRV's have siamesed sleeves that are prone to uneven cooling which causes cracking. You'll be fine with 7-8psi, man up, chip your ecu, get a real tune and enjoy a completely reliable vehicle.

Hey nathan it's Juan. If you do boost your car and need some help just give me a call and I'll help however I can. My is reliable but I still have to keep a close eye on it. Also I had about a week of down time when I first put it together.

Dang, if she's as dirty as that room...watch out!

A decent turbo (new brand-name or good holset), good oil supply/return, healthy motor, no chargepipe leaks, good tune, and decent WG that works - along with almost any manifold (no SSAC). There's not much to it really. Just don't get greedy with boost or timing, or hammer on a tired motor.

I sold my turbo Y7 4 door that made 186/176, to the wheels, 2 years ago and the guy drives it everyday to work like 50 miles. Only has put a clutch in it.

Let me be more specific you said you wanted a reliable dd and then you chose an afc hack vs chipping and chrome? Smells like Fail.

Sell that useless fanboi shit above, get an ostrich and ecutune, or an ostrich and chrome, and get a good tune. The good tune is what will make it reliable not ricey parts.

Put the stock fpr back on. It's more reliable than the one you have one right now, on a stock honda motor, there's no need for a shiney FPR, in fact they might cause problems.

Take everything that's quted in the above thread off. $20 chip and $150-200 tune from a pro is 5000times better than and AFC hack on a honda, Get rid of the map sensor as well because you would want the ecu to see boost and add fuel/retard timing for it. It's up to you if you want the turbo timer, but on RHMT that's considered a waste of money.

Since your asking for help the other thing you should sell is the turbo. Get something without the internal waste gate and buy an external gate. The size of turbo is fine, but the internal gate tends to creep or leak or just be fail.

For injectors just pick up a used set of dsm 440's or 550's or rx7 460's or anything else you can pick up cheap.

Finally stop getting your panties all in a bunch, this is rhmt not www.weholdyourhand.com

You only want 7-8psi, but you bought pieces for a 20psi setup.

What I see that is wrong.

-Downpipe, unless you buy the exact same manifold and turbo size it was designed for it will not fit.

-Bypass valve, why? You are going to chip your ECU anyway, its not an option.

-255 fuel pump, the stock one will do the job on dd at 7psi.

When you do a cheap turbo kit, you look for cheap pieces. Only parts that worth money is turbo, wastegate and for some ppl the BOV, but I think the ebay can do the job.

You will need to cut and reweld the downpipe I'm 90% sure of this. I hope your intercooler kit was designed to have the turbo on this side! I also hope that you can keep PS with it.

Get cheap injectors, you don't need over 450cc.
