I posted this mostly for shock value
Beef Tounge (lengua in spanish) is widely used in mexican cuisine, its simple to prepare, and high in protein and fat.... mmmmmm fat.
You will need the fallowing ingredients
beef toungue (fuck lamb that shit is tiny)
8-10 Green tomatoes (Tomatillos) 8 if they are large 10 if they are small
2 large onions
Beef bouillon cubes (about 4of them)
Salt
4 garlic cloves
pepper
Toss beef tounge in large pot, fill with water, ad 4 beef bouillon cubes, chop large onion in half, peel it and toss it in. Cook on low heat for at least 4 hours, or leave in slow cooker overnight (best).
After the tounge is cooked, take it out with tongs, place it in a large pan to cool down. Do not drain the broth you will need it later.
Take out your green tomatoes
Peel the husk away and wash them in warm water
Boil the tomatoes in water on med heat for about 15 mins
They are done when they look like this.
Drain the water and put the tomatoes in the blender, pluck out the onion from the broth, use some of the broth to water down the sauce and give it flavor, ad 4 cloves of garlic, ad about a tablespoon of salt.
Blend it,
Take the beef tounge out of the pot, and put it on a cutting board.
Peel the skin off the tounge. some meet will come off with it. dont worry. now slice the tounge making 1in steaks out of it.
Pour the sauce out of the blender into the pan, toss the tounge steaks in there.
Slice up some thin onion strips, toss it in, and sprinkle some black pepper. Simmer on low for 20-30 mins.
All done.
