that will confuse you. my mind was arguing with itself about what it was seeing, and hearing.....badass. loss of points for a "performance shop" dropping in a fucking CRATE motor, that required what, a fuel pressure reg, some mounts, hose re routing, and like 4 wires to make it run? un-original, lack of vision.

nigga, you kiddin?? sandrail guys love those northstar motors. light weight, and they can make some WICKED fucking power. and despite some issues that did in fact plague them, the motors were making tech leaps while everyone just stuck with what they had. at least cadillac is willing to take a risk and make technology available. remember, it was caddy that brought out the ohv when everyone still like them flatheads

I guess you missed the fabrication required to convert that pig over to RWD as well?

I'd bet money that chassis is offered in a RWD flavor, and the work while notable is not extensive.

The video would have been so much better without narration.

Is it just me or did it sound like open headers? I saw the exhaust tips there, but it really didn't sound like that was where it was coming from. I agree with the general consensus here that, it is cool, but not all that special in the fab department. Highrolle'rs TPRC was more extensive in the fab department.

those caddies are FWD. My grandfather had one, and I did the oil change on it and was stunned when I saw the v8 sitting sideways in the engine bay.

They are front wheel drive, I have one right now.

But I believe the point is with all manufacturing the more machines that use the same part the less stock and cheaper more efficient it is to build.  (think how easy it is that all honda's use the same basic sensors/ ecu pinouts/ distributor guts/ style of mounting engines so with the right stock pieces you can pretty much bolt any drivetrain into any similar year car swap ecu's etc with little to no brain or fab work)
So it would not be a stretch to think GM has a different platform that shares the same basic chassis that is also RWD that parts could be stolen from, though I haven't the slightest idea if it does exist and if it does what or where it is.

Later ones are offered in RWD and AWD .. Older are  FWD Headgasket eating barges.

I used to write the Sales brochures for GM ...most boring job ever.

I made my statement based on the Azera being a FWD offering in a RWD Holden chassis, known to us in the US as the GTO.  I very much wouldn't be surprised to find it's very RWD compatible, or that you can drill the poprivets out of the transmission tunnel of it's RWD variant and have a no brainer install.
